The 2010 Tanatside Hunt Point-to-Point is due to be held on Sunday the 7th of March at Eyton-on-Severn, it is the first in the North Western Area this year. The first race is due off at 12.00pm with a busy card of nine races including the Dodson & Horrell PPORA Novice Riders Race, which last year was won by Sam Twiston-Davies on Grenfell (seen oppposite). Sam then went on to win the PPORA Novice Riders Series Final at Tabley and has since riden several winners under rules.
Last year there were 108 runners over the nine races and we are expecting a good entry again this year for what should be an action packed day. Race entries close on Saturday the 13th February after which we will update the site with a brief preview of the runners.
Tickets can be bought on the gate with entrance costing £20 per car or alternatively £10 for a single occupant. As well as the racing there is a parade of the Tanatside Fox hounds, bookmakers and a tote, a liscensed bar, a hog roast and burger van and a wide variety of trade stands to look around.
